In May of 2007, Brandi Slater and Thalisha Kamice' co-founded the dynamic Dark Fusion Belly Dance Duo, Nyx.

Soon after, they began designing and manufacturing their own costumes.

The idea was to create a costume base that would allow individuals to create a completely unique look by utilizing interchangeable accessories.

And so Pelts were born.

Pelts debuted at Gothla 2008 with two varieties of the Belt Section, Interchangeable Leg Sections and a number of Attachable Accessories including lengths of chain, cowery shell falls and Pouches that can be converted to shoulder purses.

Pelt Belt Sections can be worn alone or over pants or skirts, with or without the Interchangeable Leg Sections, for performances or a night on the town.

The Pelt line has since expanded to include Tops, Expansion Bays for those of the majestic size, Hair Accessories and Jewelery all of which maintain the unique customizable capabilities of the Original Pelt Line.

All Pelts are made by hand, of the highest quality goods, in the sweat shop where Brandi and Thalisha are shackled. They are fed only cheap red wine and bits of cheese until their production quota for each day is completed, whereupon they are rewarded with whiskey and bacon.
